Tivat, Marina Town

Tivat is one of the newer towns along the Montenegrin coast, built a little over a century ago. The town hosts one of only two public airports in Montenegro, Tivat Airport, making it an incredibly convenient base for visitors arriving by air.

This seaside resort has a population of around 13,000. Visitors can enjoy seafront boardwalks, dine at waterfront bistros, and explore shops tucked into narrow alleyways. During peak season, the town balances tranquillity with vibrant tourism activity.

Beaches

Tivat boasts 17 beaches spanning 3 kilometres of coastline, recognised among the Mediterranean's finest. Top beaches include:

  • Plavi Horizanti (Blue Horizons): White sand, crystal clear waters, perfect for swimming and sunbathing
  • Przno on Sveti Marko Island: An abandoned resort area offering seclusion and pristine waters, ideal for water sports

Porto Montenegro

The jewel of Tivat is Porto Montenegro, a luxury yacht marina and waterfront village that has transformed the town into one of the Adriatic's most fashionable destinations. The marina complex features boutiques, restaurants, a pool club, and regular events throughout the summer season.
